Oxford Poetry Society is an inclusive network of poets, writers, and lovers of literature. OPS aims to be the centre of poetic life within Oxford, and was founded in 1946 by Martin Starkie. We host readings, workshops, open mic nights, discussion groups, and various speakers to help gather this community together. We publish ASH, an eclectic poetry magazine that is published once a term. ASH is OPS’ creative arts magazine, focusing on articles, photography and artwork as well as poetry. Our editors aim to select a range of the best work Oxford students have to offer. ASH accepts poetry and literary submissions from Oxford students and beyond.
